Columbus Man Killed in South Broadleigh Road Shooting
Columbus police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon on the East Side. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of South Broadleigh Road shortly after 2 p.m., where they discovered a 29-year-old man, identified as Christopher Smith, unresponsive at the scene.
Smith was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead at 2:47 p.m. The case is now being handled by the Columbus Police Homicide Unit, and investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward.
