A massive concert at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, became the setting for a major personal milestone over the weekend.

During a Saturday performance by the musical group Twenty One Pilots, Michael Crenshaw asked Gracie Miller to marry him. The proposal took place during what was the band’s largest concert to date.

For the couple, the venue and the music held sentimental meaning. Years earlier, Crenshaw and Miller crossed paths for the first time while attending a Twenty One Pilots concert in Alabama.

After hitting it off, the two spent years navigating a long-distance relationship while living across the country from one another. Crenshaw lived in Louisiana and Miller resided in Utah before the couple recently decided to move in together in Louisiana.

Crenshaw shared that while he considered other options for the proposal, returning to the band that originally connected them proved to be the obvious choice.

“You know, had kind of tossed around the idea of proposing in Utah or finding a special time to do it around here, but nothing just made more sense than proposing in the moment tying back to exactly how we met,” Crenshaw said.
