Columbus Community Gathers for Mental Health Discussion at Zenith Academy West
Columbus, OH – On April 4th, 2025, the Mental Health Event Columbus Ohio, held by Dalmar Tv brought together families, educators, health professionals, and local leaders at Zenith Academy West for an impactful community discussion on mental wellness. The event, running from 2PM to 5PM, was a collaborative initiative by Global Health Education and Development (GHEAD), the Ohio Commission on Minority Health, and Zenith Academy, aiming to create a safe, inclusive space to talk about mental health.
This free and open event welcomed individuals from all walks of life, encouraging meaningful conversations around emotional wellbeing, access to mental health resources, and strategies to break the stigma.
Creating Safe Spaces for Mental Health Dialogue
The event invited community members to:
- Interact in a safe, supportive space that fosters a sense of belonging
- Share lived experiences and learn from one another
- Break down stigma around mental health
- Access local mental health resources and services
From youth to senior citizens, attendees expressed the need for consistent, culturally sensitive support, especially in minority communities.
