
Juvenile killed in north Columbus after being hit by vehicle
COLUMBUS, Ohio — A juvenile tragically lost their life Saturday afternoon when struck by a vehicle on a private drive near Easton in North Columbus, specifically along the 2000 block of Oakland Park Avenue.
According to Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin, deputies responded to the scene at approximately 4:20 p.m. after reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Authorities confirmed that a black 2011 Honda Pilot, traveling northbound, collided with the juvenile who had reportedly run into its path. The child was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Honda were unharmed, but the age and identity of the juvenile have not been released.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit is leading the investigation into the incident, with assistance from Clinton Township Police and the Columbus Division of Fire.
