
Franklin County Road Repaving 2025: What you Need to Know
Franklin County, Ohio, is set to begin its annual summer road repaving project starting mid-April 2025, with an estimated $2.2 million contract awarded to Kokosing Construction. This large-scale infrastructure upgrade will impact key county-owned roads through mid-August, and residents are urged to stay informed on potential delays and closures.
The Franklin County Engineer’s Office released the list of roads scheduled for improvements this season. Here’s a breakdown of the 10 targeted roadways and their expected traffic impact:
Road Closures
- Alkire Road at Demorest Road Roundabout – Closed for 5 days
- Morse Road (US-62 to Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road) – 5-day closure (exact dates TBD)
- Leppert Road (Davidson Road to Weston Trail Drive) – Closed from May 30 to August 15
Repaving Without Closures (Expect Delays & Flag Crews):
- Galloway Road – Junction Alkire Road to north of Smith Street
- Hall Road – East of Old Hall Road to Alton Road
- Havens Corners Road – Night work only at Mann Road and Taylor Station Road
- Hilliard-Cemetery Road – From Dublin Road to 500′ west
- Rathmell Road – Lockbourne Road to Reese Road
- Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road – Clark State Road to Morse Road
Special Note: Norton Road
- Norton Road (Sullivant Avenue to W. Broad Street) will undergo repaving while schools are closed between June 3 and August 15 to minimize disruption.
