The championship clash gives the Crew an opportunity to secure a trophy it has not lifted in 24 years. The contest marks the club’s fourth appearance in the tournament final and its first in 16 years. A victory on Wednesday would also give Columbus its fifth major trophy of the current decade.

The Crew reached the final following a midseason turnaround under interim manager Laurent Courtois, who took charge after former manager Henrik Rydstrom was dismissed on May 17. In tournament play, Columbus earned victories against the Richmond Kickers and One Knoxville SC before defeating New York City FC in the quarterfinals and Orlando City in the semifinals.

St. Louis City SC arrives in Columbus seeking the first title in its history. Now in its fourth season as a club, St. Louis advanced to the final by defeating FC Tulsa, the Chicago Fire, the Houston Dynamo, and the Colorado Rapids. The club built momentum through the summer behind a 21-match unbeaten streak following a defeat on May 3.

The matchup also features a familiar face on the opposing sideline. St. Louis manager Yoann Damet previously worked as an assistant coach with the Columbus Crew under Wilfried Nancy, helping guide the team to the 2023 MLS Cup and the 2024 Leagues Cup.

Wednesday’s final will mark just the third time the two clubs have faced each other on the pitch.

Columbus Crew oo St. Louis City SC ku Wajaheysa Fiinaalka U.S. Open Cup

Kooxda kubbadda cagta ee Columbus Crew ayaa caawa oo Arbaco ah garoonka ScottsMiracle-Gro Field ee magaalada Columbus, Ohio ku martigelin doonta kooxda St. Louis City SC, iyadoo labada dhinac ay u tartami doonaan horyaalka 111-aad ee U.S. Open Cup. Ciyaartan kama dambaysta ah ayaa qorshaysan inay bilaabato 8 p.m.

Kulankan ayaa fursad weyn u siinaya Columbus Crew inay gacanta ku dhigto koob aysan ku guuleysan muddo 24 sano ah. Waa markii afraad ee ay kooxdu soo gaarto ciyaarta kama dambaysta ah ee tartankan, waana markeedii ugu horreysay muddo 16 sano ah.

Tartanka gudihiisa, Columbus waxay soo garaacday kooxaha Richmond Kickers (3-0) iyo One Knoxville SC (4-1), ka hor inta aysan wareegga siddeed-dhamaadka 1-0 kaga badin New York City FC gool uu dhaliyay Max Arfsten, waxayna afar-dhamaadka 2-1 kaga adkaatay Orlando City iyadoo goolasha ay u dhaliyeen Josef Martinez iyo Brais Mendez.

Dhinaca kale, kooxda St. Louis City SC ayaa u socota inay hanato koobkii ugu horreeyay ee taariikhdeeda, iyadoo hadda ciyaareysa xilli-ciyaareedkeedii afraad oo kaliya. St. Louis ayaa finalka ku timid kaddib markii ay soo martay FC Tulsa (4-0), Chicago Fire (2-1), Houston Dynamo oo ay rigoorayaal 4-2 kaga adkaatay kaddib barbarro 2-2 ah, iyo Colorado Rapids oo ay kaga soo badisay 3-0. Kooxdu waxay xagaagii samaysay rikoor cajiib ah iyadoo 21 kulan oo xiriir ah guuldarro la’aan ahayd kaddib kulankii May 3.

Ciyaartan ayaa sidoo kale xiiso gaar ah leh maadaama tababaraha St. Louis, Yoann Damet oo 36 jir ah, uu hore uga soo mid noqday shaqaalaha tababarka ee Columbus Crew isaga oo caawiye u ahaa Wilfried Nancy xilligii ay ku guuleysteen 2023 MLS Cup iyo 2024 Leagues Cup. Kulanka caawa ayaa noqon doona markii saddexaad oo ay labadan kooxood taariikhda ku kulmaan garoonka dhexdiisa.
