
Police Release Photos of Suspects in Harvard Medical School Explosion
Authorities have released surveillance images showing two possible suspects connected to an intentional explosion early Saturday morning at Harvard Medical School’s Longwood Medical Campus.
According to The Harvard Crimson, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. at the Goldenson Building, located within the Longwood Medical Campus. A Harvard University Police Department officer reportedly arrived at the scene moments after the explosion and saw two individuals fleeing the area.
The Boston Fire Department’s Arson Unit later determined that the explosion was intentionally set. The Boston Police Department conducted a full sweep of the building and confirmed that no additional explosive devices were found.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in connection with the blast.
Authorities have since released surveillance photos showing two masked suspects wearing sweatshirts. The FBI is assisting local investigators, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Harvard University Police Department at 617-495-1796.
The investigation remains active as officials work to identify the individuals responsible for the incident.
