Franklin County Dog Shelter Receives Overwhelming Community Support

The Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center in Columbus, Ohio, recently put out a call for help after their community pet food pantry ran out of supplies and local residents quickly stepped up.

Within just a few days, the shelter was flooded with donations of dog food and treats, ensuring that families in need can continue to feed their beloved pets. The shelter shared their gratitude on social media, thanking the Columbus community for their generosity and compassion.

Animal Care Manager Hannah Henschen shared her appreciation, saying, “We received all of this probably within a four-day span. I haven’t even counted how much we have gotten in the past week.”

The Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center operates its pet food pantry solely through donations, offering free food to pet owners once a month. Thanks to this incredible outpouring of support, the pantry will continue to serve families and their furry companions across Franklin County.
