Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Northeast Columbus: Joaquin Estrada Killed in Early Morning Crash

A fatal pedestrian accident in Northeast Columbus has tragically claimed the life of Joaquin Estrada, a 50-year-old man from Van Wert, Ohio. The incident occurred early Sunday morning, around 5:40 a.m., near the intersection of Maize and Morse roads.

Details of the Pedestrian Accident Involving Joaquin Estrada

According to Columbus police, the pedestrian accident took place when 44-year-old Tina Michaels, driving westbound on Morse Road, attempted to pass another vehicle traveling at 25 to 30 mph. As Michaels moved to the right lane to overtake, she struck Joaquin Estrada, who was reportedly in the right lane of traffic at the time of the accident.

Estrada was rushed to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he was later declared dead. His tragic death has left the local community in mourning.

Currently, no charges have been filed against the driver, and authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the pedestrian accident involving Joaquin Estrada.
