San Diego Mosque Shooting Leaves 3 Dead

The deadly San Diego shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego left 3 people dead, including a security guard praised by authorities for his bravery during the attack.

According to San Diego Police Chief Scott Wahl, the security guard acted heroically and helped save lives before being killed in the incident at the cityโ€™s largest mosque.

Investigators said 2 teenage suspects were later discovered dead inside a vehicle near the mosque. Authorities believe the teens died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Law enforcement officials identified one of the suspects as 17-year-old Cain Clark through police dispatch records.

Officials revealed that one of the teens allegedly took three firearms from their parentsโ€™ home before carrying out the San Diego shooting.

Police are treating the attack as a possible hate crime after investigators found hate-related writings on one of the weapons, according to law enforcement sources. Authorities also recovered a suicide note containing references to racial pride and extremist views.

The investigation into the San Diego shooting remains ongoing as officials continue gathering evidence and reviewing the suspectsโ€™ motives.
