1 person was hospitalized after a house fire broke out Wednesday night in the Olde Towne area of Columbus.

According to officials, the fire was reported around 10:30 p.m. at a home undergoing renovations near South Ohio Avenue and Cole Street. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene.

The property suffered significant damage, said Columbus Division of Fire Lt. Nick Davis. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
