
2 Killed in Head-On Crash in Ross County, Ohio
2 people were killed in a head-on crash Wednesday afternoon on U.S. Route 23 in southern Ohio, according to authorities.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred around 12:27 p.m. in the area covered by its Chillicothe post.
Investigators say a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Dave Boggs, 76, of Waverly, was traveling in the wrong direction in the southbound lanes when it collided head-on with a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander.
The second vehicle was driven by Jason Day, 39, of Chillicothe.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that no passengers were involved in the crash.
Officials have not yet determined why the Silverado was traveling the wrong way at the time of the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
