Build-A-Bear Workshop and pizza chain Sbarro are preparing to open new locations at Tanger Outlets in Sunbury, Ohio. According to shopping center announcements, Build-A-Bear is scheduled to launch this fall, followed by Sbarro in December.

Build-A-Bear will occupy a 2,160-square-foot storefront positioned between Ulta and Old Navy. The interactive retailer, which was founded in St. Louis in 1997 and now operates over 600 global sites, allows customers to assemble custom stuffed animals using clothing, scents, and recorded voices. The new Sunbury site marks the brand’s third central Ohio location, alongside existing storefronts at Easton Town Center and Tuttle Mall.

Sbarro is moving into a 2,500-square-foot space located between The North Face and Kate Spade New York, where it will serve pizza slices, salads, and pasta. First established in Brooklyn, New York, in 1956, the pizza chain relocated its corporate headquarters to Columbus, Ohio, in 2014. Sbarro currently operates 11 locations across the Columbus area.

Located at 400 S. Wilson Road, Tanger Outlets in Sunbury, Ohio, is a 355,200-square-foot open-air shopping complex that originally opened in June 2016. The venue hosts more than 80 national brands, including Nike, Coach, Michael Kors, J.Crew, and Crocs. Parent company Tanger Inc. currently operates 42 retail properties throughout the United States.

Kristen Baldinger, marketing director for Tanger’s Columbus regional operations, stated in a release that the new additions will bring added energy and options to the property, offering families dining and interactive retail experiences during their visits.
