Fire at Fuyao Glass America
A large fire broke out Sunday night at the Fuyao Glass America plant in Moraine, sending flames and smoke into the sky and prompting a major emergency response across the Dayton area.
The fire started around 8:30 p.m. at the facility located along Stroop Road, according to dispatch officials. Flames were seen rising through the roof of the large manufacturing building as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.
Several fire departments from nearby areas responded to assist Moraine crews due to the scale of the incident. The plant, known for producing automotive glass, is one of the region’s most prominent industrial sites.
Videos shared online showed intense flames coming from the roof while emergency teams battled the fire from outside the building. However, officials have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
It also remains unclear whether there were any injuries.
Authorities are expected to provide more details as the investigation continues.
