U.S. Vice President JD Vance announced on Sunday that 21 hours of peace negotiations held in Pakistan between the United States and Iran ended without a deal to stop the ongoing conflict. The outcome leaves uncertainty over what will happen once the current two-week ceasefire expires.

Speaking at a brief press conference in Islamabad, Vance stated that Iran had declined to agree to the proposed terms, though he noted that discussions could still continue.

“They have chosen not to accept our terms,” Vance said, emphasizing that the U.S. has presented what he described as its “final and best offer.” He added that the next move now depends on whether Iran decides to accept the proposal.
