
1 Dead After South Columbus Shooting in Southern Orchards
A man has died after being shot Saturday morning in the Southern Orchards neighborhood of south Columbus, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 900 block of South 22nd Street at approximately 9:49 a.m., Sgt. James Fuqua said.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead at approximately 11 a.m.


Investigators are now working to determine what led to the deadly shooting. Police are reviewing footage from nearby Ring doorbell cameras and other surveillance systems as part of the investigation.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, nor have they announced any suspects or arrests related to the case.
