
Brian Michael Wilson Pleads Not Guilty to All Charges in Death of Morrow County Deputy
Columbus, Ohio – The man accused in the fatal shooting of Morrow County Deputy Daniel Sherrer has pleaded not guilty to all 14 charges brought against him. Brian Michael Wilson, 53, faces serious felony charges including aggravated murder and felonious assault following the deadly incident on May 26, when Deputy Sherrer was responding to a domestic disturbance on County Road 26.
Prosecutors say Wilson opened fire on the deputy, resulting in a tragic loss of life. Morrow County Prosecutor Andrew Wick has indicated he may pursue the death penalty if Wilson is convicted. Wilson’s bond was recently raised from $5 million to $9 million.
Wilson’s next court appearance is scheduled for August 25, where further proceedings, including a trial date, are expected to be discussed.
