A 20-year-old man will serve 25 to 26 years in prison after pleading guilty to felony charges across five criminal cases involving drive-by shootings, robbery, and illegal weapons possession in Columbus, Ohio. Under the plea agreement, Kaden Ratcliff admitted to multiple counts stemming from a series of violent incidents in 2025, according to Franklin County prosecutors.

The offenses Ratcliff pleaded guilty to include felonious assault, aggravated robbery, theft, possession of a dangerous ordinance, and various weapons charges. Prosecutors noted that the weapons offenses involved automatic firearms and Glock switches, which convert semiautomatic handguns into fully automatic weapons.

Investigators connected Ratcliff to an August 8, 2025 drive-by shooting, as well as a September 17, 2025 drive-by shooting on South Third Street. During the September 17 incident, gunfire hit a residence while three people were inside. Officers recovered approximately 30 shell casings fired from four different weapons at the scene, though no occupants were injured.

On September 22, 2025, Ratcliff was involved in another drive-by shooting in Argyle Park on East Blake Avenue, an incident in which the targeted home was reportedly hit by mistake. A 13-year-old boy was shot in the leg and his mother was wounded in the arm, while two other occupants inside were uninjured. Police collected 28 shell casings from the scene, including evidence from a fully automatic weapon.

In addition to the shootings, Ratcliff faced weapons charges from September 22, 2025, and a robbery charge from November 2025. Several other defendants named across the five cases have court proceedings that remain pending.
