COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Blue Jackets announced on Thursday that the club has signed forward Adam Fantilli to a six-year contract extension.

The contract extension is valued at $82.5 million, which breaks down to an average annual value of $13.75 million. The deal secures the forward in Columbus, Ohio through the 2031-32 National Hockey League season.

Since making his debut with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2023, Fantilli has recorded 67 goals and 73 assists. He is only the third player in franchise history to record multiple 20-plus goal seasons before turning 22 years old, joining Rick Nash and Pierre-Luc Dubois in reaching that milestone.

Columbus Blue Jackets General Manager Don Waddell commended Fantilli’s skillset and overall contribution to the roster following the signing.

“Adam Fantilli has all of the tools you look for in a player — speed, size, skill — along with a competitive drive to succeed,” Waddell said in an official statement. “He is one of the most exciting young players in the NHL and a big part of what we are building in Columbus, so this is a very exciting day for our organization and our fans.”
