DELAWARE, Ohio — Fast-food chain Tim Hortons has expanded its central Ohio footprint by opening a new restaurant in Delaware, Ohio, on Aug. 19.

The new location at 910 Sunbury Road was constructed on a previously undeveloped lot near the Glennwood Commons shopping complex. The eatery offers customer seating both indoors and outdoors.

This marks the chain’s third establishment in Delaware, Ohio. The brand already operates two other locations in the city, situated at 89 W. William St. and 1163 Columbus Pike.

Across the state, Tim Hortons maintains 130 locations in Ohio. That total includes 31 restaurants in Columbus, Ohio, along with several other sites scattered throughout the surrounding region.

National Hockey League player Tim Horton established the original coffee and breakfast chain in 1964 in Ontario, Canada. The company later made its U.S. debut in 1984 in Tonawanda, New York. According to parent company Restaurant Brands International, the brand currently operates more than 6,000 locations globally.
