1 person Dead after East Columbus Gas Station Shooting
Police in Columbus are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Monday morning at a gas station on the city’s East Side.
According to authorities, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Eagle Fuels Gas Station in the Leawood neighborhood just before 5 a.m.
When police arrived, they found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound at the gas station. He was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead at 5:38 a.m.
Investigators said the scene appeared to be centered around a silver sedan parked at one of the fuel pumps, with the driver’s side door left open.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim or provided details about any suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
